Why AWTOMAI uses AI to create music
AWTOMAI is an EDM project operating under the Koa Sinag banner. Our purpose goes beyond producing music for entertainment. We want to use electronic dance music to reach young people, communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ and encourage those who feel lost to consider the hope of salvation.
Our motto is ONE LOST.
We recognise that AI-generated music is not everyone’s preference. We also recognise that the technology raises legitimate questions about artistic identity, originality and the future of musicians.
But we believe the conversation should also consider what the music communicates.
A powerful bassline can get someone’s attention. A memorable chorus can stay in their mind. A music video can open a conversation. And lyrics that challenge our understanding of love, sin, forgiveness or our relationship with God can encourage someone to think more deeply about their life.
The technology is a means of creating and delivering that message. It is not the message itself.
We do not believe that using AI automatically makes music meaningful, any more than using traditional instruments automatically guarantees meaningful music. The creative choices, the intention behind the work and the message being communicated still matter.
AI does not remove the responsibility to create something worthwhile
There is a danger in assuming that because AI makes music production easier, every AI-generated track deserves attention.
It does not.
Artists using AI still need to make creative decisions. They need to consider the lyrics, structure, arrangement, sound, visual identity and purpose of each release. They must also respect the rights of others and be honest about their creative process.
For AWTOMAI, that means asking more than whether a track sounds good on a dance floor.
Does it communicate something worth hearing? Does it challenge the listener to think? Does it offer hope? Does it point people towards something greater than themselves?
These questions guide the purpose of the project.
Should listeners reject a song simply because AI helped create it?
That is ultimately a personal decision.
Some listeners will continue to prefer music created and performed entirely by humans. Others will embrace AI-assisted production. Many will probably fall somewhere between those positions, judging each song individually.
We believe listeners should be able to make informed decisions about the music they consume. Transparency matters, and so does respecting the concerns of human artists.
But we also believe that a song should be considered in the context of what it offers: its sound, its creativity, its message and its impact.
If a song encourages someone to reconsider a destructive decision, inspires a young person to seek God, or reminds someone who feels abandoned that there is still hope, its purpose deserves consideration beyond the technology used to produce it.
AI-generated music is not automatically good, bad, authentic or meaningless. Those conclusions require more thought than simply looking at the tools involved.
The future of AI music is still being written
Artificial intelligence will continue to influence how music is created, distributed and discovered. The technology will evolve, public attitudes will change, and the industry will have to address questions about copyright, compensation, disclosure and creative ownership.
For independent artists, the challenge is to use these tools responsibly without losing sight of why they create music in the first place.
At AWTOMAI, our aim is to use EDM to reach people who might never walk into a church, listen to a traditional worship song or pick up a Bible. We want the music to open doors to conversations about faith, identity, love and the hope found in Jesus Christ.
You do not have to agree with every aspect of AI-generated music to listen to a song, consider its message or decide for yourself whether it speaks to you.
The technology creates new possibilities. What we choose to communicate through it is what gives our work its direction.
Listen to AWTOMAI
Explore our music, listen to the lyrics and decide for yourself.
If a track speaks to you, share it with someone who might need to hear its message. Every share helps us reach another person.
AWTOMAI — ONE LOST.
Music is the medium. The message matters.
